To invigorate the economy of Tainan City and support the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the city government offers financing credit guarantees in cooperation with the Credit Guarantee Fund. The "Tainan City Government Youth Entrepreneurship and SMEs Credit Guarantee Program Loan " is tailored for local youth and various categories of SMEs. Loan amounts range from NT$500,000 to NT$10,000,000, with a repayment period of 5 years. The borrowed funds are restricted to the purchase of factories, business premises, machinery, equipment, operating capital, or startup preparation funds.

1. Eligibility:
a. Category 1: (Maximum loan amount NT$500,000)
    i. Residents of Tainan City aged between 18 and 65.
    ii. Operators of small-scale businesses that do not require business registration but have tax registration.         (Applicants must provide tax registration proof and a statement of not reaching the VAT threshold from         the National Taxation Bureau.)
b. Category 2: (Maximum loan amount NT$10,000,000)
    i. Meets the SMEs recognition criteria.
    ii. Companies or firms registered in Tainan City.
c. Category 3: (Maximum loan amount NT$2,000,000)
    i. Companies, businesses, limited partnerships, or registered enterprises established in Tainan City for             less than five years.
    ii. Entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 45 who are residents of Tainan City.
   iii. The entrepreneur has participated in a government entrepreneurship training program for at least 20            hours or has earned at least 2 credits in the past three years before the application date.

2. Loan Purposes:
a. For purchasing factories, business premises, machinery, or equipment, applicants must provide a sales        contract, machinery/equipment catalog, or other related proof documents on the date of application.
b. Applicants for Category 1 and 2 loans must have been in actual operation for more than one year.
c. Applicants for Category 3 loans must apply for the loan as startup preparation funds within eight months      after completing company or business registration.
